.CM Sunrise Period will take place between 15 October and 31 October 2008 offering the first-mover advantage to trademark holders throughout the world. 2nd level registrations such as .COM.CM, .NET.CM and .CO.CM will be available during the Sunrise Period. Chloe Li, spokesperson for Instra Corporation's America Registry, is pleased to announce, "Instra is working with NETCOM to aggressively market .CM on a global scale. .EU Accredited
10th August 2005
America Registry, as part of the Instra Corporation, is now an Accredited Registrar for the European Domain ‘.eu’
We are pleased to announce that Instra Corporation has recently been appointed as an officially accredited Registrar by EURid, the ‘.eu’ Registry. We are now ready to accept applications for ‘.eu’ domain names.
Those of you who have already submitted your pre-registrations to us will shortly be receiving an individual e-mail to ask you to confirm your earlier request. As you may already know, some form of formal link with Europe is required in order to obtain an ‘.eu’ domain. This can either be a company registered in any of the 25 European Member States, or the applicant can be a formal EU resident.
At the same time, applicants with certain prior rights, for example a specific company name, or Trademark registered any where in the European Union, can apply for a priority status during the two ‘Sunrise’ periods, each lasting 2 months. This is before the doors open for all applications for ‘.eu’ Registration.
International customers that do not meet this requirement may still apply, by registering a UK Limited company in addition to their domain name. This provides a legal European presence and will be sufficient to register your .EU domain name during sunrise phase 2.
